Mark Andrew Allen

Mark Andrew Allen is an internationally represented artist based in Los Angeles. Allen's work has gained recognition for its complex layering of mixed media works that create a narrative of modern American culture. His work today is a culmination of many years of painting, thinking, and experiencing. He blends urban street art with his background of typography, mixed media collage and abstract expressionism into each of his pop expressionist works. He sifts through many materials to find just the right imagery to connect and establish a particular narrative. Mark Andrew Allen's sophisticated jabs at consumer culture are blended with playful sarcasm with vibrant text messages woven into polychromatic backdrops. 

His art is in many notable collections and is represented in galleries throughout the world such as New York, London, Rome, Hamburg, Lisbon, Frankfurt, Los Angeles, Greenwich, Boston, Palm Springs, Santa Barbara and Carmel. 

Allen's work has been exhibited in museums such as the Dallas Museum of Art- Dallas, TX, The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Museum- Cleveland, OH, Experience Music Project- Seattle, WA, Memphis Brooks Museum of Art- Memphis, TN, and Acadian Museum- Lafayette, LA. He has been featured in two art installations in Rockefeller Center, NY, and Art Basel Miami. Allen's artwork has also been included in several television shows and featured films, as well as many publications
