This work is a carved image of a bearded man crowned with vine leaves. The lines of the linocut are smooth and graceful, indicative of the medium used. The colors are reminiscent of Greek red-figure pottery. The manipulation of geometric form and shapes depict his cubist style born out of influences to the earlier part of the 20th century. This portrait displays a superb richly inked impression with strong colors.
