Felicity Kostakis
Born in Sydney, Australia, Felicity Kostakis has been heavily influenced by the sea. Her early inspiration came from the magnificent coastlines of Australia's southeast region. When she was only eight years old, she picked up a brush and began painting with any and every medium she could find. After studying in Australia, Felicity moved to Dublin, Ireland where the bays and peninsulas of the Emerald Isle continued to awaken her artistic impulses. After a visit to the Connecticut shore in 1998, Felicity became inspired by the New England coastlines and moved her studio permanently to Riverside, CT.
Felicity's artwork is rich with light and nature. Where the horizon meets the shore, where land, sea and sky come together, and the ever-changing moods of the water are all images in her paintings evoking various moods, from tranquil to mysterious.
Felicity teaches art to children and adults of all ages and actively supports the local community in the arts. Felicity is member of the development committee for the Bruce Museum and serves on the Board of Directors for The Greenwich Arts Council. Felicity works full time in her Riverside studio where she continues to be inspired by the New England coastlines daily.
